Charlton is mourning the loss of beloved William M. Brown, a US Air Force Veteran and devoted family man, who passed away on June 2nd, 2026, at the age of 91. Brown, a 1st Lieutenant navigator on a KC135 Stratotanker Airplane, served in the Korean War era from 1954 to 1960. He was a self-employed sales rep for several lawn and garden supply companies for many years, retiring several years ago. Brown was a member of the Council at Overlook and enjoyed reading, baseball, gardening, playing golf, tennis, and playing pool. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris W. Brown; his son, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Mary of West Bolton, VT; his two daughters, Lisa Meunier and her husband Robert of Sturbridge and Christina Benton and her husband Peter of St. Petersburg, FL; his brother, Clark Brown and his wife Susan of Scottsdale, AZ; his 10 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass for Bill will be held on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 11:00am in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial in St. Anne's Cemetery, Sturbridge, will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton, MA 01507.
