Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of Finland international goalkeeper Anna Koivunen on a permanent two-year deal. The 24-year-old stopper arrives at The Valley after a season with Djurgårdens IF in the OBOS Damallsvenskan.

Koivunen arrives with 14 senior caps for Finland and a club CV that reads like a European tour. She’s turned out for Pyrkivä Turku, TPS, HJK, Linköping FC, IFK Kalmar and IF Brommapojkarna before her spell at Djurgårdens IF. Her international record and domestic experience in Sweden make her a proven commodity between the sticks.
